The safety of all athletes on course is our priority. Our event team considers each race/event individually to determine the entry requirements. Each policy differs between race, while some races are not suitable others are. Our goal is to make everyone’s racing dreams a reality so if you would like information on other events where the course is able to accommodate wheelchair participation or any other course accessibility needs, please email us (see contact page on relevant event website) or via phone on 1300 761 384.  
 
We are pleased to let you know we will be introducing the use of non-race chairs at 2025 Hoka Runaway Sydney Half Marathon. Any participant wishing to compete in a non-racing or day wheelchair are welcome to enter the HOKA Runaway Sydney Half Marathon or 10km and are asked to enter the Yellow Start Group. Please be aware and consider the below before entering:  
  • Overall course cut-offs must be met by all competitors – (course cut-offs subject to change).   
  • Runaway Sydney Half Marathon cut-off time is 3 hours from start line closure  
  • Runaway Sydney 10km cut-off is 9:15am (must be able to maintain an average pace of 12min/km or faster)  
  • Course elevation, density, terrain and surfaces will vary. There may be areas of the approved course on public land which require assessment based on individual ability. Competitors should familiarise themselves with the entire course to ensure its suitability before entering.
